Dreams - Then And Now

I was just sitting around thinking how different my life is now compared to the dreams
I used to have as a teenager. Just some thoughts.

I used to dream of getting a good record deal
now I dream of getting a good deal on a record

I used to dream I had thousands of adoring fans chanting my name.
Now, it's been so long since I've seen my son I hope he REMEMBERS
my name.

I used to dream of nice cars.
now I dream of getting a good deal on a rebuilt transmission.

I dreamed of mansions
now it's a 2 bedroom apartment for less than $1000 a month.

I dreamed of private aircraft.
now I dream of the row of seats to myself on the flight.

I dreamed of financial stability
now I dream of a stable job (I have had no less than 6 companies
close down and lay me off).

I dreamed of big screen TVs
Now I am happy to have a 32 inch with good reception.

I dreamed of partying all night
now I dream of not drinking too much
before driving (I don't drink and drive)

I used to dream of the hollywood scene being there forever
now I dream of the last club in town to have live acts
doesn't shut down.

Kind of funny how dreams change over the years...
